Thermal/fluid characteristics of the inline stacked plain‐weave screen as solar‐powered Stirling engine heat regenerators

The present work demonstrates the results of a 3D numerical analysis heat transfer and fluid flow through fabricated aluminium wire filament, bonded mesh deployed as regenerator surface in Stirling engine. Here, two inline models with same mass but different geometry were simulated by computational dynamics (CFD) finite element method (FEM). show that temperature efficiency both non-uniform uniform diameters is almost equal. However, diameter model shorter reaches maximum thermal faster reduced length < 18 $ 18$ . Also, it shows approximately 5% greater mean efficiency. In general, from this simulation, can be seen changes have direct effect on pressure drop mass. Therefore, using stacked plain-weave screen powered engine recommended due to space constraints.
